Dustin Lawson

ADMINISTRATIVE LIAISON

Dustin Lawson serves as the Administrative Liaison at American Wealth Advisers, where he connects clients, advisers, and the internal and external operations that support them. He helps keep day-to-day processes organized, maintains clear communication among everyone involved, and ensures client needs move efficiently through the appropriate channels.

Born in New Mexico and raised in Phoenix, AZ, Dustin brings experience in banking and financial services, correctional operations and leadership, and government grant administration. His work in highly regulated environments has strengthened his communication, problem-solving, compliance, organization, and attention to detail. It has also taught him to adapt to different professional settings while maintaining accuracy and consistent processes.

One of the more distinctive chapters of Dustin's career came through government grant administration. He was responsible for administering one of the first grants awarded through the Texas Space Commission's Space Exploration & Aeronautics Research Fund (SEARF), an initiative created to advance space exploration, research, aeronautics, workforce development, and infrastructure across Texas.

Beyond funding innovation, the program is designed to strengthen the state's growing space economy by expanding regional capabilities, encouraging economic development, and creating opportunities for communities across Texas to participate in the rapidly evolving aerospace industry. Managing a grant connected to this emerging statewide initiative expanded Dustin's experience with complex, compliance-driven processes while giving him a significant role in a program positioned to influence both technological advancement and regional economic growth.

Outside of work, Dustin enjoys traveling, discovering new cuisines, antiquing, and collecting nostalgic toys. His creative interests include astrophotography, creating music, and video games. He also enjoys attending conventions and spending time with family and friends.
